James Caruso / Senior Landscape Designer
James is an experienced landscape designer with over 9 years of experience in the horticulture and landscape industry in Sydney. James initially began working for RSL in the construction division in 2003 assisting in building many award winning projects. His progression into the design studio ensured he maintained a strong relationship with the RSL construction team and is still heavily involved in building award winning show gardens including the Gold medal winning Chelsea garden. James holds a Diploma in Horticulture and Landscape Design and his many years of experience will ensure your project is designed to the highest level of quality.
Luke Randall / Landscape Designer
Having joined RSL in 2013, Luke brings experience in both the Landscape Design and Horticultural industries. In his 6 years as a designer, Luke has worked on many award winning projects and show gardens, both locally and interstate. His sound understanding of design principles and broad plant knowledge will help create a design that reflects the clients’ lifestyle and needs. Luke holds several diplomas in horticulture, including Nursery Management and Landscape Design.
Larissa Taylor / Landscape Designer
Larissa has been working in the landscape industry for over 7 years. Previously working as an executive assistant for a landscape architecture and design company she joined RSL in 2010. Bringing ten years of experience in the travel industry, this has contributed to her exceptional organisational skills and customer service. Assisting with administration and design Larissa forms an integral part of the RSL team. Holding a Bachelor of Arts, she is passionate about design and also holds a Diploma in Horticulture and Landscape Design. Larissa now combines part time work with being a full time Mum.
Matt Denton / Construction Manager
With 25 years industry experience, Matt is an integral part of the RSL construction team. Joining the company in 1995 he has been with RSL since the early days. Matt has managed and worked on all of the seven gold medal winning show gardens, including the prestigious Chelsea Flower Show garden in London. His career has seen his involvement in many high end residential and acreage projects. Matt’s construction knowledge and experience is an invaluable asset to the team.
Mark Heath / Construction Manager
Having gained his trade certificate in landscape construction Mark joined the RSL team in 1997 and now has over 19 years industry experience. Part of 6 gold medal award winning gardens, including the Chelsea Flower Show in London, Mark has also project managed many jobs including the notable winner of the 2006 Australian Residential Landscape of the Year award and a high end residential landscape featured on Better Homes & Gardens. Currently studying for his Project Management Professional certification, Mark has also been accepted into the University of South Australia to gain his Masters in Project Management.
Mick Lillyman / Project Manager
After working on the Sydney Olympic Village in 2000, Mick joined RSL. Completing his apprenticeship with the company Mick has been part of many award winning gardens including the gold medal win at the 2006 Chelsea Flower Show in London. In 2009 Mick moved to London to live and work. Working on high end residential projects he also had the opportunity to build two more award winning Chelsea Flower Show gardens in 2009 and 2010. December 2010 saw Mick return to Australia where he rejoined the RSL team.
Bernice Herald / Business Manager
After leaving school at 15 to become a qualified florist, Bernice helped start Rolling Stone Landscapes with her husband Dean at 19. Working part time in the business in the beginning, the business grew quickly so she decided to leave her job of 10yrs as a florist to join Dean in the company full-time. With her skills in customer relations, she took on the role of office and HR manager. As the company has grown and new compliance is required she has ensured the correct policies and procedures are in place whilst bringing a much needed female touch to the company.
Ray Anderson – Bookkeeper
Ray joined RSL in July of 2000 as the business was growing and assistance was required in our accounts department. Ray plays a key role in the company and is loved by all the staff as he is in charge of payroll. With the ever changing obligations on business he ensures we are complying as required whilst overseeing the general finance of the business.
Tosh joined the RSL team in 2012. He is in charge of welcoming people into the office and making them feel comfortable, lunch time consumption supervision, bin inspections, and will be found resting occasionally after a busy morning. He loves being around people and works well with all the staff. His happy personality always makes everyone’s day brighter. He is a great asset to the company.
